This is my third time coming here all the way from KL, and I really like it every time. The seafood is always fresh, prices are reasonable, and the owner is very friendly. Booking is also very easy — no upfront payment required, which I truly appreciate. It feels less like a restaurant visit and more like visiting a family member (sedara). Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to!

If you want to experience how traditional kampung cuisine is, this is the place. The foods are plain simple. A set of white rice, grilled fish, some fresh kampung green ulams(vege), salads, local famous ikan singgang and set of kuah pencicah with sambal belacan, asam lada, sambal kicap & tempoyak. And seriously you will die for that tempoyak. You gonna end up ask for extra rice and of course extra drinks (damn the sambal is hot). Oh,they use old traditional way to grill the fish (using dapur arang). Very rare nowadays. Must visit if you're from outside Tganu.

The fish was grilled on the charcoal, that is the important reason why we came here. Overall, foods are great with fresh fish. Very reasonably priced.

Bored with the same ikan bakar you had over the years? Grilled fish on banana leaf (or aluminium foil) and uncertain taste of sambal? You want to eat something that basic kampung and homey? This is the right place for you. I kid you not, they grilled without any seasoning. I suggest you to dine with Ikan Tombok, it sure coupled nicely with the condiments (it comes together with the Ulam Set) . Order the Ulam Set (RM5.50), Telur Ikan Singgang (RM10.00) and a plate of white rice. Trust me, you'll go for a second plate. For budak bandar like me, it was worth for every cents.
